1/7/2015 - Pensacola Palafox Pier and Yacht Harbor - Errands and projects

One of the great things about being retired and living on a boat is that there are always things to do and you get to choose when to do them!  We have identified and listed several projects that we need to do... starting with a very important one... repair the holding tank gauge.  So, first thing today Al gets down in the engine room, pulls up the floor panel and there it is!  The metal floor plate was sitting on top of the sensor wire causing a short in the gauge.  Relocated the wire, returned the floor plate and its done! Fixed!  Life is so pleasant when something gets fixed that easily on a boat!

Then, we were off to Walmart, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, lunch at Peng land Chinese food. (Susan and Jerry let us borrow their car again).  We intended to get back to work on projects when we got back, but the only thing we got done was replace the ring gasket on the hydraulic fluid cylinder... fingers crossed that the pressure holds....

Then we called it a day and just hung out and enjoyed another amazing sunset...

We are bracing for record freeze... sure wish we had gone further south this fall!
